Katy Cadman is our esteemed Chartered Financial Planner within the Bryant Associates Wealth Management team.
Hello, I’m Katy — a Chartered Financial Adviser and Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute. My years of study, experience, and client work have brought me to this point where I’m proud to be able to use my wealth of expertise to help others feel confident with their money.
It’s been quite the journey from my first job at Visionhire straight out of school to becoming part of the 2% of female Chartered Financial Planners in the UK, all while juggling family, 6 children, a husband and a business along the way – life certainly has kept me busy! My life experience has been just as important as my qualifications in supporting my clients though, as it allows me to empathise with them and put in place plans that work for their changing needs.
I’m based in the lovely market towns of Thornbury (BS35) and Chipping Sodbury (BS37) with virtual meetings enabling me to open the doors across the UK, where I provide clear, jargon-free financial advice on:
• Retirement planning
• Investment planning
• Inheritance tax planning
With over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, I understand that seeking financial advice can feel daunting at first but there’s no need to be anxious about meeting me. My goal is to create a relaxed, supportive environment where you can ask anything and feel truly heard.
I work particularly well with:
· Women seeking an adviser who can understand their unique priorities
· Professionals planning for retirement
· Female business owners
· Families looking to protect their estates
I offer a 3 stage process:
1.Lifestyle Planning – this involves understanding what’s important for you personally, both now and for the future. We will work together to outline your future life and financial goals and aspirations; This could be anything from saving towards your first house or having the freedom to choose when you want to retire, to buying a holiday home or being able to secure your family’s financial future.
2.Financial Planning - is where I gain an understanding of the current resources available to you, cost of your current lifestyle and the cost of your future desired lifestyle. This involves a bit of number crunching to help me build a personalised cashflow model which is a simple, colour coded chart I can work on with you to highlight any financial shortfalls, so we can work together to address them in the final stage.
3. Financial Adviser – this is the final stage where we discuss implementing your personalised financial plan and if necessary recommend a financial solution to make sure the discussions we had in the first stage meet your life goals without running out of money.
My goal is always the same: To give you clear, practical advice that helps you navigate life’s ever-changing financial landscape whilst sticking to your plan.
Ready to take the next step?
If you’d like to have an informal chat about your finances, with no obligation, I’d love to hear from you. Feel free to book a meeting through my Calendly link at the top of my page.
